Introduction Of OpenX Plugins
OpenX has introduced the Plugin framework which allows developers to customize existing ad server functionalities.
The plugin framework separates the plugins from the core openx files. OpenX is making new functionality as the plugins with each release. If you want to upgrade your system you can upgrade the plugins without upgrading the whole system.
Basically a plugin is a collection of files that can be deployed by OpenX to provide extended functionality. A plugin is defined by an XML file and its elements are packaged in a zip file.
The list of plugins that are installed in your OpenX can be found in the administrator interface. Go to Administrator > Plugins tab. You can enable/ disable/ install/ uninstall plugins from this interface.
You can find back up of all the plugins in the etc/ plugins folder of your OpenX.
