Tracking Clicks of Google Adsense

OpenX will always be able to track the google adsense (3rd party) ads impressions. OpenX can track google adsense clicks with some limitations since google adsense does not officially support the click tracking. OpenX can not track the clicks of google adsense’s flash banners and the banners which is designated to open in a new window.

To create banners from Google Adsense ad tags into OpenX follow these steps:
  • Create an HTML banner; paste the google adsense tag into the text box.
  • Check the option Alter HTML to enable tracking of Clicks.
  • Select 'Rich Media - Google AdSense from the drop-down box.
 
As a result, you can monitor your Google AdSense advertising performance alongside other advertising campaigns within OpenX, and this is the first step to increasing the revenue you make through placing advertising on your website.
